Sustainable tourism resources

Australia's Sustainable Tourism Cooperative Research Centre (STCRC) was established under the Australian Government’s Cooperative Research Centres program in 1997, to underpin the development of a dynamic, internationally competitive, and sustainable Australian tourism industry. The organization's web site offers useful resources for the tourism industry -- Australia focused -- but applicable in other geographic settings, and many of them particularly relevant to Small to Medium Tourism Enterprises. Some of the information is controlled, but the Centre offers all its reports as free PDF downloads: see for example, Understanding tourism wildlife interactions: visitor market analysis, Visitor attraction satisfaction benchmarking project, and Promoting pursuasion in protected areas: a guide for managers who want to use strategic communication to influence visitor behaviour.
