New WWF manuals

The Worldwide Fund for Wildlife (WWF) has released several new manuals aimed at introducing practical natural resource management methods to communities. The Counting Wildlife Manual – part of the Mozambique Wildlife Management Series – describes ground-based methods for counting wildlife. The Human-Wildlife Conflict Manual draws from experience in southern Africa to recommend strategies for reducing conflicts. The Community-Based Natural Resource Management Manual describes tools for adaptive management and includes a section about the differences in policy among SADC countries. Attractively illustrated, all the manuals are available for download from the WWF website.
