Global Wetland Consortium graduate student tour

The Global Wetland Consortium graduate student group work in the Okavango Delta also wrapped up this week. Led by Dr Brian Child, the group has been looking at natural resources issues in Ngamiland since the beginning of July. The work was enhanced by the participation of Dr Graham Child, father of Brian, and author of the remarkable ecological survey of northeastern Botswana carried out in the 1960s. Dr Graham Child presented a copy of his book, Wildlife and people : the Zimbabwean success, to HOORC’s Library.

HOORC Research Fellow and outreach specialist Olekae Thakadu now leaves with the group to begin his PhD studies in environmental communications at the University of Florida.
