Burning in Okavango swamp September 2005
The October 2005 issue of the International Journal of Remote Sensing has just arrived in HOORC's library. It's a special issue: SAFARI 2000, Southern African Regional Science Initiative, and contains contributions by HOORC researchers Susan Ringrose and Phillipa Huntsman-Mapila as well as from members of the Okavango Research Group at the University of the Witswatersrand. SAFARI 2000 is an ongoing research programme for Southern Africa to study links between land-atmosphere processes and the functioning of the biogeophysical and biogeochemical systems of southern Africa.
