132 countries are ranked on 22 performance indicators by The 2012 Environmental Performance Index (EPI). The ranking is based on ten policy categories: environmental health, water, air pollution, water resources, biodiversity and habitat, forests, fisheries, agriculture, and climate change. These policy strategies track performance and progress on two broad policy objectives: Environmental Health and Ecosystem Vitality. Each indicator has an associated environmental public health or ecosystem sustainability target.
