View from the top


In conservation circles, Botswana is considered to be one of Africa's success stories. given the Government's strong conservation agenda, and particularly in the North, wildlife-based tourism is thriving. Nonetheless according to researcher Michael Chase, alarm bells are ringing and as a result of an intense aerial survey show, there is every reason to be worried. He further maintains that although current numbers of wildlife still render Northern Botswana one of Africa's great wildlife tourim destinations, the system is at high risk.
