New at HOORC's Library: Ecological impacts of non-native invertebrates and fungi on terrestrial ecosystems
This book by David W.Lagor and Jon Sweeney brings to attention the paucity of information on the ecological impacts of hyper-diverse groups such as fungi and terrestrial invertebrates in comparison to the attention that the ecological impacts of marine, freshwater and plant invaders have received. To bring attention to this paucity of information and to encourage a review of the state of knowledge, the Canadian Forest Service and the Biological Survey of Canada convened a symposium on " Ecological Impacts of non-native invertebrates and fungi on terrestrial ecosystems" in 2006 and most of the papers are contained in this work. The book is available in the HOORC Library.
