New in HOORC's Library: Seeing through Maps

The 2006 edition of Seeing through maps : many ways to see the world by Denis Wood, Ward L. Kaiser & Bob Abramms, is aimed at students who are learning to interpret geographic representations. The book shows the reader how to question map images and the messages they communicate. Useful appendices include a section about using map projections in human resource development and adult education, and a reference table of different map projections. You can find the book in HOORC's Library.
