GIS training for Tawana Land Board at HOORC

GIS trainer Kent Burger with Tawana Land Board participants

Surveyors from the Tawana Land Board have been at HOORC this week, participating in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) training. The course has been sponsored by BIOKAVANGO as part of a project to identify potential tourism locations in the Okavango Delta Ramsar Site.

In HOORC's Library you can find a range of books about using GIS, including Environmental land use planning and management by John Randolph and Spatial multicriteria decision making and analysis : a geographic information sciences approach edited by Jean-Claude Thill.
