Dung beetle presentation

Today the Kalahari Conservation Society sponsors a presentation by Botswana MSc student Power Tshikae from the University of Pretoria's Department of Zoology and Entomology, about the role of dung beetles in ecosystems.The presentation will focus on the ecology and biogeography of Scarabaeinae dung beetles and discuss Tshikae's inventory of dung beetle species in Botswana, their richness, abundance patterns and their functional diversity in the protected areas of Chobe National Park, Central Kalahari Game Reserve and the Kalahari Transfrontier Park. The presentation is taking place at the National Museum Little Theatre, Independence Avenue, Gaborone at 17:30 h.
