The United Nations Environment Programme has launched a programme to promote environmentally responsible tourism, Green Passport : Holidays for a Living Planet. An interactive web site introduces travellers to sustainable practices in selection of destinations, choices of transport and accomodation, eating, meeting people, wildlife watching and purchase of souvenirs. In HOORC’s Library, you can find The business of ecotourism by Carol Patterson , In search of the pangolin : the accidental eco-tourist by Satyajit Das & Jade Novakovic and A trip too far : ecotourism, politics, and exploitation by Rosaleen Duffy. A service of the Okavango Research Institute (ORI) Library, dedicated to supporting stakeholders involved in the management and conservation of Botswana’s Okavango Delta, drylands, and other wetland ecosystems. ORI is a research institute of the University of Botswana.
