New in HOORC's Library: Botswana CBNRM policy

The published version of the Government of Botswana's Community based natural resources management policy is now available in HOORC's Library. Approved by Parliament in 2007, the policy is intended to safeguard the interest of communities in natural resources management, and to attract investment in natural resources based enterprises. The policy states that management practices of community based organizations require regulation for more equitable community benefit sharing, and that an institutional, regulatory and participatory framework for CBNRM in Botswana will be established.
