The Reuters agency humanitarian news web site, AlertNet, brings together maps from various sites and locations to illustrate its news coverage of natural and human-created disasters on its Map Catalogue page. The site also provides interactive mapping using Microsoft Virtual Earth, where the user can update a map with the type of crisis -- conflicts, food security, storms, sudden disasters, health problems and earthquakes.
