New journal article by HOORC researchers

Fire activity on drylands and floodplains in the southern Okavango Delta, Botswana by Micheal Heinl, P. Frost, Cornelis Vanderpost and J. Sliva in a recent issue of the Journal of Arid Environments, identifies Okavango Delta floodplains as centres of fire activity, serving as sources of fires spreading into dryer lands. The study used satellite imagery from the years 1989 to 2003 to analyse the temporal and spatial distribution of fires. You can find the article in HOORC's Library.
