Open air community meeting in the Delta
The Maun-based Ngami Times is full of stories about the Okavango Delta this Friday, reporting the Okavango Delta Management Plan (ODMP) Consultative Workshop for Community Leaders in the Ramsar Site held in Gumare this past week to discuss the draft management plan. HOORC Research Fellow Dr Lapolagang Magole participated as a facilitator at the workshop. Implementation of the plan will be coordinated by the Botswana Ministry of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism over a six year period from an office in Maun.
