Namibia’s Tourism Investor Roadmap

AllAfrica.com reports the launch of Namibia’s Tourism Investor Roadmap this week by the Namibia Ministry of Environment and Tourism. The document makes recommendations about how the regulatory environment in Namibia could be improved to encourage more foreign direct investment in the tourism industry. Current estimates put tourism contributions at more than 10 per cent of Namibia’s GDP, and likely to grow at rate of at least 5 per cent per year. The USAID Southern Africa Global Competitiveness Hub, based in Gaborone, Botswana, supported development of the roadmap.
