Great resource for GIS in Africa

The Global Spatial Data Infrastructure Association’s Spatial Data Infrastructure - Africa (SDI-Africa) is a free electronic newsletter for people interested in GIS, remote sensing, and data management issues in Africa. It aims to raise awareness and provide useful information to strengthen national SDI initiatives and support synchronization of regional activities. The July issue reports the GlobWetland five-day training seminar about the use of GIS in wetlands planning and management in Lake Naivasha, Kenya, the upcoming launch of the European Community FP7’s Africa Observatory for Sustainable Development , DFID’s gap analysis for the implementation of the Global Climate Observing System Programme in Africa as well as notification of many useful GIS tools and services. Find it online.
