Everglades presentation at HOORC

Today, colleagues from the University of Florida's Center for Environmental Policy made a presentation at HOORC about the experience of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP), an ongoing effort by the United States government U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in partnership with the South Florida Water Management District and other federal, state, local and tribal partners to restore the Everglades wetland ecosystem. Lesson from the presentation: it is much more costly to attempt to restore wetlands than it is to conserve them. In HOORC's Library you can find Restoration of Aquatic Systems by Robert Livingston.
