Planning for Okavango panhandle villages

The Botswana Daily News reports last week's visits of the Minister of Lands and Housing to the Okavango villages of Seronga and Shakawe. The minister addressed the issues of delays in land allocation, and cooperation and consultation between the land board members and the community. The Northwest District Council's tender for the preparation of the Shakawe Settlement Development Plan was published in the The Botswana Government Gazette of 20 January 2006.
