New access to Okavango information in scholarly journals

The UB Library has negotiated access to JSTOR -- the wonderful Mellon Foundation-supported project to make full text of a lot of older scholarly journal content available online. The collection contains back runs of more than 600 Journals in Arts, Education, Social Sciences and Sciences. As an archive collection, it does not include full text of current issues. The Journal coverage is comprehensive with many titles starting from volume 1, and some time dating back to the 19th Century. But some are as recent as 2001.

A quick search brought back 375 references to Okavango, including "The Power of a Few: Bureaucratic Decision-Making in the Okavango Delta" by Laurel Abrams Neme, The Journal of Modern African Studies Vol. 35, No. 1 (Mar., 1997), pp. 37-51; and "Kalahari Irrigation" by Frank Brownlee in Journal of the Royal African Society, Vol. 38, No. 150 (Jan., 1939), pp. 109-113.

You can access the JSTOR collection at HOORC 's Library.
