New in HOORC's Library: land use conflicts in the Okavango Delta

Natural Resource Utilisation and Land Use Conflicts in the Okavango Delta, Botswana, report of a study by Professor M.B.K. Darkoh and Joseph Mbaiwa, is now available in the HOORC Library. The report's recommendations include more local skills development, review of livestock production policies, reduction of the elephant population, promotion of domestic tourism and creation of a land use conflict resolution mechanism empowered by legislation. The study was sponsored by the START programme and jointly carried out by the University of Botswana Department of Environmental Science and HOORC.
