New in HOORC's Library: annotated bibliography of the Nile
The second edition of Terje Tvedt's The Nile : an Annotated Bibliography, a 545 page volume, covers the varying political, economic, social and cultural roles of the river -- issues familiar to those involved in the Okavango Delta planning process. There is an entire section dedicated to projects and reports as well as sections for fisheries and water use and management. Tvedt writes, "If the Nile basin countries are to pursue cooperation and develop a long-term legal and institutional framework for river management, and thus reap the gains of cooperation and a more shared water vision, the dissemination of information about the river to all countries in the basin is crucial." You can find the bibliography in HOORC's library.
