University of Botswana Research, Innovation and Scholarly Archive (UBRISA), is a digital repository that showcases the University of Botswana research and intellectual output. It was developed to contribute towards the Open Access Movement as it advances scholarly communication.
According to Das (2015), "scholarly communication is the process of sharing, disseminating and publishing the research findings of academics and researchers so that the generated academic results are made widely available and communicated to the global academic community", as well as the entire public. UBRISA is an online platform, that was established to archive and disseminate UB research with academic community and the entire public.
