Elephants for Africa: conservation through research and education
In a talk, hosted by the Kalahari Conservation Society, Dr.Kate Evans , a zoologist and founder of the research project on elephants in the Okavango Delta, talked about the vision of the project and its focus. The project focuses on research to address the conservation issues faced by elephants locally and throughout the African continent. These issues include :human elephant conflict, fragmentation and loss of habitat, poaching, climate change and the conservation of viable populations.
