Free Web-based courses on climate change


The Nature Conservancy, Conservation International, Rainforest Alliance, and the World Wildlife Fund are pleased to announce the release of 3 new, self-paced and web-based courses on climate change and REDD+, which can be accessed from: http://www.conservationtraining.org (then Course Catalog, and Climate REDD+).   The curriculum, Introductory Curriculum on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation and Conserving and Enhancing Forest Carbon Stocks (REDD+), to be accessed here: https://www.conservationtraining.org/mod/page/view.php?id=4254 provides an introductory level of understanding on climate change, deforestation, forest degradation, and REDD+. This new version contains up-to-date information on policy and implementation as well as a cool new facelift and improved interactivity. It is divided into three courses.
The courses are freely available to anyone who is interested. Individuals completing the curriculum assessment with a score of 70% or higher will receive a certificate stating they successfully completed all requirements.
