Luncheon for Community Interns from Matsaudi

On Friday 1st March, Okavango Research Institute (ORI) Library hosted a luncheon  for community interns from Matsaudi. The ocassion was graced by Matsaudi kgosi who thanked ORI for recognizing his village. ORI management issued participants with certificates.
The library had hosted the interns for a week and attached them to the library, herbarium, environmental lab and GIS lab. This program was meant to take interns through what different units at ORI at doing. It is hoped that after going through the program, they would cascade the knowledge they would have acquire to their community and communities around ORI will know what the institute is involved in. In future, this should ensure cooperation and collaboration with communities when researchers engage them when carrying out investigations.
