Another ORI research scholar, Dr. Mike Murray-Hudson was recently promoted to Senior Research Scholar. Mike, as he is affectionately known has his research interests centred on wetland ecology, ecological modelling, vegetation ecology, water and carbon fluxes and ecological responses to climate change. He is currently involved in the following projects: biogenic cycling of silica in the Delta, vegetation mapping of the Okavango Basin, evapotranspiration of riparian trees in the Delta and species distribution modelling for assessment of hydrological change.
