Adapting to climate change: facing the consequences
In this article, the author maintains that global action will not stop climate change, so the world needs to look harder at how to live with it. Acceptance however does not mean inaction, given that since the beginning of time creatures have adapted to change in their environments. Unfortunately, such adaptations have mearnt deaths in some cases but thats how evolution works. However, humankind is luckier than most species. It has the advantage of being able to think ahead and to prepare for the changes to come , and that is what needs to happens now. The article is available in the latest Economist in the ORI Library.
