New at HOORC Library: edible wild plants in Ethiopia
The book by one of HOORC's researchers, Dr. Demel Teketay documents and disseminates indigenous knowledge on edible wild plants, detailing amongst other things their scientific terms, local names, descriptions, phenology, habitat, distribution food and feed values and their other uses. Furthermore, the book paves the way for the plants' domestication and incorporation on farms both for domestic consumption and as sources of income generation for for smallholder farmers. The book is now available in the HOORC Library.
