New staff member at HOORC

Dr. Mangaliso J. Gondwe has recently joined HOORC as a Research Fellow in the Ecosystems Unit. He holds a BSc from the University of Malawi, an Msc and PhD (Biology) from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. His interests lie in nutrient dynamics and their influence in the Okavango Delta which entails an understanding of the sources, losses and influence of the nutrients in the river channels, swamps and floodplains of the Okavango Delta. His major areas include the question of how (and when) the delta might have changed over the years due to climate change and human activities which will be tackled through paleolimnological studies.
