New at HOORC's Library: Okavango Delta: Floods of life

This picturesque book authored by John mendelsohn, HOORC researchers comprising of Prof Cornelis Vander Post, Prof Lars Ramberg, Dr. Mike Murray-Hudson, Prof Piotr Wolski and Dr. Keta Mosepele offers the origins, functioning, life and people of the Okavango Delta. It gives a detailed description of the Delta ecosystem , with its changing water patterns and how this has affected people's livelihoods, especially those who depend on it. It concludes by acknowledging that although the Delta has been around for a long time, it too has its jugular, which needs to be understood and debated in the face of the challenges and opportunities that depend on it. The book is available in the HOORC Library.
