Persitant organic pollutants in the Okavango Delta workshop



Researchers, government officials and tourism operators held a workshop at the Maun Lodge on May 7th 2009 to discuss and share ideas on the results of pesticide analysis water and sediments in the Okavango Delta. The focus of the discussion was a project that analysed pesticides in water, sediments, fish and crocodiles in the Okavango Delta. The project was a collaborative effort among the University Of Botswana 's Department of Chemistry, HOORC researchers and Rhodes University's Department of Chemistry. HOORC fish researcher K.Mosepele coordinated the workshop.
