Biodiversity and climate change meeting

BIOKAVANGO Project National Coordinator Dr Nkobi Moleele recently returned from the second meeting of the Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group (AHTEG) on Biodiversity and Climate Change of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in Helsinki where he participated in creation of draft findings. The group was established in 2008 to provide biodiversity related information to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) though provision of scientific and technical advice and assessment on the integration of the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity into climate change mitigation and adaptation activities.
