Water and protected areas

Kruger National Park from the report

A new publication by the IUCN about the benefits of protecting watersheds, contains a case study of South Africa's Kruger National Park that briefly describes the impact of interventions that have controlled detrimental effects of water shortages and pollution on animals, plants and natural features in the park, made more water available for rural communities and emergent farmers, and improved the condition of rivers for better game viewing. You can read the case study online.
