Community interns at HOORC's LibraryToday two members of the Shorobe community, Ms Keshetile Dikole and Ms Bapalang Karonda, wrap up a ten day visit to HOORC that has made them familiar with how locally collected data and information are processed and used at the research centre. The two spent time in HOORC's library, environmental laboratories, natural collections and GIS laboratory, observing and gaining hands-on practice working with documents, samples and maps. The internships are sponsored by the BIOKAVANGO Project to help build capacity in biodiversity conservation.
