Botswana will commemorate World Wetlands Day on February 2nd this year in Mopipi village, Boteti Sub District. This year's theme is Upstream-Downstream: Wetlands Connect Us All.The Ramsar Secretariat web site has its usual offering of educational materials to publicize the theme of World Wetlands Day, including posters, comic strips and paper toys, that you can download and print.
The newspaper Mmegi recently quoted HOORC researcher Dr Lapologang Magole about this year's flooding of the Boteti that reached the village of Moreomaoto in the district that will host the commemoration.
