HOORC Deputy Director Dr Moses Chimbari returned this past week from the fourth Zambezi Basinwide Stakeholders Forum meeting, Championing effective IWRM in the Zambezi River Basin, held on 26 to 27 November, 2008 in Lilongwe, Malawi. The focus of the meeting was to look at bringing into action the IWRM Strategy and Implementation Plan developed through the Zambezi Action Plan Project 6, Phase II (ZACPRO 6.2), a SADC initiative based in Lusaka, Zambia. Angola, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe are involved in planning for the river basin.
