New in HOORC's Library: South Africa Environment Outlook

Status of terrestrial ecosystems map from report

HOORC's Library has received a hard covered copy of the South African Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism's state of the environment report for 2006, South Africa environment outlook. The 370 page report offers descriptions, summary tables and maps for land, biodiversity, inland water, marine, atmosphere and human settlement resources, and a special section about human vulnerability to environmental change. Lists of state of the environment reports for all levels of government in South Africa, Millennium Development Goals and acronyms and abbreviations make the report an especially useful reference source.
