New in HOORC's Library: GIS for ecology

GIS for ecology : an introduction by Richard Wadsworth and Jo Treweek offers ecologists an account of the origins and definitions of geographic information systems, an explanation of basic GIS functionality and practical advice about working with the technology, as well as covering ecosystem classification and mapping and measurement of habitat. A useful glossary of terms is included in the book, which you can find in HOORC's Library.
