WUSC delegation

HOORC had visitors today from a mission organized by the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) to identify partnership opportunities for Canadian universities and Botswana organizations. Representatives from the University of Guelph, Trent University, Humber College, Wilfred Laurier University, University of New Brunswick and University of Manitoba discussed possible student exchange and research collaboration programmes. Research areas of common interest include community based tourism, water issues and indigenous peoples. WUSC has been active in Botswana since 1980 and implements a country program with a focus on human resource capacity building through education and training, community development and HIV/AIDS mitigation activities.
