ODMP research planning meeting

A stakeholder workshop for the Okavango Delta Management Plan research and monitoring action plan was held at HOORC on March 19th. Representatives from government departments and NGOs reviewed existing knowledge and research gaps, as well as monitoring, research and communication priorities needed to effectively implement the Plan. An action plan based on the workshop results will be issued by the Botswana Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) in Maun at the beginning of April 2007 and the first activities under the action plan will begin during the next few months.
