New in HOORC's Library: waste management in the tourist industry
A manual for water and waste management : what the tourism industry can do to improve its performance published by the United Nations Environment programme, specifically addresses the small and medium sized enterprises that account for 80 per cent of tourism businesses worldwide. The manual offers practical guidelines to minimize the impact of accommodation, food and beverage services, grounds maintenance and administrative activities on groundwater and the environment surrounding tourism operations.
