New Birdlife Botswana project

Birdlife Botswana is launching the Botswana Tickbird Project in Maun with project partners Birdlife International and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. The project will make use of a a web-based, participatory, bird monitoring system that will allow for organizing individual bird observations, producing up-to-date checklists for areas in Botswana and generating maps for Botswana birds. It will be possible for the database to be used as a monitoring system that will act as an early warning in the event of any population decline in all Botswana birds.

The launch will be held at Maun Lodge Conference Room on November 21st at 18:00 h. RSVP Pete Hancock at 6860252, birdlifemaun@ngami.co.za.
