Practical advice for local tourism operators
The Pro-Poor Tourism site offers a set of "How-To" documents for local tourism operators described as tips and tools for South African tourism companies on local procurement, products and partnerships. The documents are in downloadable PDF format. The Pro-Poor Toursim site disseminates research reports and studies that focus on how tourism's contribution to poverty reduction can be increased. Other recent examples include Joint Venture Decision Making Framework for Community-Based Natural Resource Management Areas and Tourism, Local Livelihoods and the Private Sector in South Africa: Case Studies on the Growing Role of the Private Sector in Natural Resources Management.
