Global Code of Ethics for Tourism
UN Pulse cites a new report by the World Tourism Organization about the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism. “This voluntary code is a set of basic principles whose purpose is to guide tourism development and to serve as a frame of reference for the different stakeholders in the tourism sector, with the objective of minimizing the negative impact of tourism on the environment and on cultural heritage while maximizing the benefits of tourism in promoting sustainable development.”
