How Libraries and Information Proffesionals can Align Services and Programs with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The Okavango Research Institute Library hosted the North West District Information Specialists workshop, on the 15 August 2019, to discuss how the different library professionals in the region can align SDGs in their services.

The workshop was attended by the Dean  of faculty of science - University of Botswana, Professor Julius Atlhopheng,  who serves in the National Committee responsible for the roll out of Sustainable Development Goals in Botswana.

 Some of the presentations done are:

1.Sustainable Development Goals and commitment of the Government of Botswana by Benjamin Thupe
2. Implementing SDGs at ORI by Dr Wame Hambira
3. Community development society reading club - A case of Matlapana Primary School by Hilda Bawani
4. Libraries, Librarians and the SDGs by M. Moupi
5. ORI library's contribution towards the achievement of the SDGs by Mosepele Mabutho
6. Libraries in the digital world and SDGs
7. IFLA perspectives in driving SDGs by Benjamin Thupe
