Applications
from all those who seek admission into undergraduate study programmes at
University of Botswana (UB) for August 2018 entry will continue to be received
from 1stApril 2018 until 27th July 2018. Former students who
previously withdrew or discontinued or have been away from the University for
at least one semester but not more than 10 semesters may also apply to enrol in
August 2018.
Applications
will also be open to those who wish to transfer from their current institutions
to UB.
In
processing applications for the August 2018 intake, the University will require
that the following be observed:
On-line
Application:
University
of Botswana has an on-line application system whereby prospective applicants
can apply on-line wherever they are. All prospective applicants are therefore
expected to make their applications online through the “ APPLY TO STUDY ” link
on the University of Botswana website:www.ub.bw. Prospective applicants may use any Internet
facility available to them to apply. Aguide
in the form of a booklet, entitled “ONLINE APPLICATION: A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE”,
on how to complete an application online is provided through the “APPLY TO
STUDY” link .
Application Materials:
All
Application materials are available as Application Package and can be accessed
through the “APPLY
TO STUDY ” link on the University of Botswana website: www.ub.bw . Hard copies are also available at
Undergraduate Admissions Office at Main Campus in Gaborone, Centre of
Continuing Education (CCE) in Francistown and Okavango Research Institute (ORI)
in Maun.
Applicants with Disability:
University
of Botswana welcomes applicants with disability, and considers their
applications on academic merit like all other applications. All applicants are
expected to state whether they have any disability or not when they apply, so
that the university’s Disability Support Services Unit can contact them to
understand the nature of their disability. Prospective applicants with any
disability may contact the university’s Disability Support Services Unit at the
following telephone numbers: (+267)-3552768/4183/4991. The declaration of such
information helps the University in assessing the learning needs of all
applicants. The University will; at all times preserve the confidentiality of
student information.
Submission of Applications:
Applicants
are expected to submit their applications online. Such applications will be
received by Undergraduate Admissions Office at Main Campus in Gaborone, Centre
for Continuing Education (CCE) in Francistown and Okavango Research Institute
(ORI) in Maun. . Applicants are encouraged to pay their Application Fee at the
Banks and should write their full names and IDs as referenceon
the deposit slip. Applicants may use any Internet facility available to them to
submit their applications online anytime of the day during the application
period.
Admission Processing:
Applicants
who meet the set programme entry requirements will be admitted based on
academic merit depending on the availability of space. Meeting the minimum
entry requirements therefore does not guarantee admission.
Closing Date
The
application processes for August 2018 entry for both local and international
applicants closes on the 27th July 2018.
