The European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly

The European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2010 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world into one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, Planetary and Space Sciences. EGU appeals to provide a forum especially for young scientists, to present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geosciences.

Among the presenters will be Dr Diskin from the University of Botswana (HOORC), who will be convening a session on "Geochemical Applications in Stratigraphy and Sediment Provenance Studies (co-sponsored by IAS). She will also be presenting a talk on " Stratigraphy and sediment provenance of the karoo supergroup in Southern Botswana using geochemical indicators" with Marek Wendorff and Reneilwe Lasarwe. There will also be a poster presentation on "A study of the heavy mineral suite of the sandstones of the ecca group of the karroo supergroup" with Stehan Coetzee, Marek Wondorff, and Maatla Letsholo.
